Conflux Spoiling Begins

My favorite part when a new expansion of Magic is scheduled to be released is its spoiled cards. As of the writing of this post, I’ve discovered on my favorite site for spoiling cards, the Rumor Mill of MtgSalvation.com, that they already have a card list for the upcoming Conflux expansion. Here are some cards from the list:

Sedraxis Alchemist

When Sedraxis Alchemist comes into play, if you control a blue permanent, you may return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand.

Fiery Fall deals 5 damage to target creature.
Basic land cycling 1R

Exploding Borders

Sorcery
Search your library for a basic land card and put that card into play tapped. Then shuffle your library.
Exploding Borders deals X damage to target player, where X is the number of basic land types among lands you control.

I guess they’re going back to the Invasion set theme with these basic-land-based-spells, maybe because of too many non basic lands in the current Standard format. Which also means we will be getting less non-basic lands prints (unless they’re from the Ravnica block shock lands hehe..). What I also saw on the list are some reprints (Unsummon and Wordly Counsel) which Wizards shouldn’t have IMO. We’ll see and just wait what they’re really up to for Conflux.
