Preventing Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are one of the pests that are commonly found but are hard to notice in our homes. They are small, oval, and wingless insects that feed by sucking blood from humans or animals. These bugs reside in areas where people sleep, specifically in beds and mattresses, and also in curtains and dressers.

Although they are very small and early infestation is hard to detect, preventive measures can be performed. Here are some tips: do a regular vacuum cleaning in areas where bug infestation may occur. Also, place your old clothing in your dressers and other items outside in places with extreme temperatures either under the sun or in a cold weather. Use sprays and insecticides to areas where these bed bugs may crawl or hide. If the infestation is severe, better consult a pest control expert to perform deep-cleaning on infested areas.
